Dear all,
I would like to ask you to help me with my problem having with Hyundai tiburon 2003 (2.0i) - I have put my battery in wrong direction (exchanged + and -) and now I have problem to lock the door with remote (I can lock with my key but when I try to lock it with remote I can hear just some click and door is not locked) - but I can unlock the door with remote (after locking it manually with the key I tried to open with remote and it worked) - I thought if it's not relay, but after exchanged locking after unlocking I was just not able even to open door...other problem that occured after this is that my front wiper is not working (or is working in fast possitions but not working in cycle possition) - can you help me what can be wrong? They told me I need to replace the whole Body Control Module (BCM) which is more than 1000USD :(.
Thank you for any help!
Regards,
Miroslav

Yeah, I was thinking you need a new BCM as I read that.  Rather than buying a new one, try to find one at a salvage yard.  If you can't find anything locally, check this out:

I think you have to register with the forum to see the thread.  But it is a thread about a guy who runs a salvage yard in Knoxville, Tennessee, that is devoted to Tiburons.  He should be able to hook you up.

First, 2003-07 GK Tiburons are the second generation (gen2).  There is no third generation yet.  All 1996-2002 RD Tiburons are the first generation.

Second, you may not need a new BCM.  The problem may just be the actuators in the doors.

Is the car still covered under warranty?  I know it's not too old but I don't know the mileage.  Both problems should be covered under the warranty.  I had my BCM replaced for free a few months ago.

No, it's not under warranty - it has around 105000km and I'm second owner...tmrw. I will try to find the door actuator...another issue is wiper relay - have you any idea where can be located the relay that controls wiper cycle mode(intermident?)....

Bummer.

The wiper relay should be in the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment by the battery.  The diagram on the inside of the lid shoudl point you to the correct relay.
