My wife's 2006 Tucsan has been stalling periodically when coming to a stop. It starts just fine afterwards. Any suggestions as to what the cause may be? I was thinking it may be the throttle position sensor...no fault code is tripped.

Just occasionally, but is happening for often. It seems to loose power, then stalls when slowing to a stop.

My wife's 2006 Tuscon is doing the same thing, started about 2 weeks ago, Has done it 3 times so far, very random when it does., Last night when she came home, she had me listen to the engine, it was idling funny, like it could find the right place, revving and little then getting real slow, engine did not stall, when she tapped the accelarator, it started idling normal. will be taking t to the dealer, will let you know what they find

Sounds like the same problem my wife had. It was the throttle position sensor (TPS). The vehicle did not give a malfunction code until after the dealer drove it around for a while. They were troubleshooting other components like the catalytic converter, but once the code was kicked out for the TPS, it only took them 15 minutes to fix. Here is a word of advice; tell them that you suspect the TPS and for them to check it first. My wife's Tucson is running just fine.
