Hello, the dipped beam headlights on my 1997 Lantra 1600 wont switch off. When I switch the headlight switch on, the dipped beam filaments glow slightly brighter suggesting this is adding another path to the bulbs. I have to remove the fuse to prevent the battery going flat. This started one rainy day. The switches seem ok. I found a similar problem to this using Google search that happened two years ago but did not offer a solution.  Help.  Ian

hi ian
i had the same problem on my 1996 accent , looks like theres a few others on here who have had this prob as well . i traced my fault to the dim dip unit located on the left front inner wing , next to the battery . it is a black box about 5 inches square with a white connector with 4 wires in it . i unpluged mine and all is good except i no longer have dim dip . yours might be located slightly differently because its a different model but its a good starting point , hope this helps you
mike .
