Accent parts in the UK?

Mountain -> Accent parts in the UK? (12/3/2007 11:43:40 AM)

Hi,

Any UK Accent owners out there?

Any recommendations for parts suppliers?

After my recent garage rip off, I've decided to change my front disks & pads and rear drums and shoes.

Front no problem, generic disks & pads are pretty cheap.

Rear shoes also, cheap enough.

The only problem is I'm having a hell of a job sourcing some rear drums. Aside from extortionate originals I can't find any anywhere. My rear drums are horrendously rusted and the 'lip' around the drum has literally rusted off in places. I've given them a good wire brushing, clean up and paint job, but they do need replacing.

Anyone know a supplier?

Cheers

I had exactly the same problem ......... I got lucky in a scrap yard........ It horrendous having to buy part used parts for relatively new cars but I know how you feel....... [image]http://www.fancysplace.com/smileys/tmt.gif[/image]I left my drums on till they were literally about to fall off & then the angel of brake drums heared about my predicament & had somone write off their accent with as near as damn it "Brand New" drums & dumped it in my local "Grumpy Gits R Us" scrap yard.  [image]http://www.fancysplace.com/smileys/huh.png[/image]

I have found these people pretty good for spares. [image]http://www.platts.co.uk/1a_plattslogo.jpg[/image]http://www.platts.co.uk/dealership_hyundai.asp

my local dealer is also a Three Cornered Hat Merchant [sm=rant.gif]
