Tried to get an answer from Hyundai but they are clueless.  Does anyone know if the sun visors are warrantied for any amount of time on the 2006 Sonata?  Thanks.

Of course they are.... 5 years/60,000 miles.  Try a different dealer if you can; maybe he'll be more competent.

What's the problem with the visor?  If it's just a cosmetic thing, they might not feel it's a warranty defect.

It depends really...   Without knowing the exact problem with the visor it's difficult to say with 100% confidence.

Some Hyundai's (Sonata's included I believe) have had issues with the visors not staying in the up position when you close them.  They basically flip back into the down position.  This is a known issue and in this instance would be covered under the warranty because of defect.

As Doohickie mentioned though, if the problem with the visor is cosmetic, or they believe the visor to have been damaged through wear/tear,  then you could be out of luck.

Basically if they can determine that you didn't somehow cause or have a direct influence over the resulting problem, you *should* be okay.

Hope that helps.

But when you get into that area, one dealer may be more inclined than another to help, fyi.
