I was changing my timing belt on my 2002 hyundai accent.  I removed the timing belt.  Next i tried to remove the spocket on the camshaft (I don't know why i tried this in the first place).  I ended up turning the camshaft counterclockwise a little.  What should I do?  Should I turn it clockwise a little or turn the crank counterclockwise to even it out.  I hope I didnt' ruin my valves.  Please help.

i just bought my 02 accent and dont know particulars, but in most cases there is a mark on the cam sprocket, usually a little dot. put the first piston to TDC, timed right the dots should be on the bottom of each sprocket. hope this helps.

the camshaft has 2 marks on it and if you look at the inside of the cam sprocket it says up. those 2 marks should line up with the cylinder head with that UP mark facing up.
