I have a 2002 Sonata and my mechanic tried to unlock the car with the key instead of the remove. When he did this the alarm went off. He then used the remote to turn off the alarm. The problem now is that the car will not start. It has power, but something is keeping the car from starting. Is it an anti-theft system and how do I get it reset?

TIA.

If it is the alarm system. You can bypass this by turning the key to the accesory position for about a minute and then cycle the key and the vehicle will start.
