mrchris -> Heating/Cooling problems - 2007 Elantra (12/13/2007 9:50:38 PM)

Hi, I'm new here, have a concern with my car: I bought a 2007 Elantra at the end of May, noticed that when I had the a/c on, it worked great on the highway, but if I got off and had to stop at a light, it would blow hot air, had to wait several minutes before it got cold again. Now that the colder weather is here, I am having the opposite problem with the heater. When I am on the highway, gets quite warm, as soon as I get off the highway and stop, it blows cold air. When I drive away from the stop, it starts to blow hot air again right away. Sometimes it will only blow cold air on the passenger side and sometimes, on both sides. When I start the car up, and just idle in the driveway, it doesn't warm up very quickly, have to start to drive to get it to warm up a bit. I don't think it is the thermostat, must have something to do with a sensor or some type vacuum. I have taken it to the dealership 2 times now, they tell me they can't "duplicate my concern". Can anyone have any ideas on this problem, starting to get pretty cold here now...
