Great news and hope you really enjoy the new car.My wife and I ordered a new GLS V6 with leather, sun roof options and 17 inch wheels.Colour Crystal Silver.WE live in Canada and won't get it for another 4 weeks. I think you made a good choice, out of all the cars we test drove ,the new Sonata was not only the best deal over all ,we thought it was the best looking and best driving unit. Let us know how you like it,what colour and package did you get. Gook luck and have fun..........Jimmie

Hey Jimmie....

Well, we got the GLS in bright silver, which adds alloy 16"wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel/shift knob, fog lights and some other creature comforts to the GL......we oped to not get the roof for budget reasons...we got the 4 cylinder....I took it out last night for my first solo ride...all I can say is "very cool".....has great power and is smoother than any 4 cylinder I have driven in the past......I imagine the v6 is a screamer because at 160 hp, the 4 cylinder has more than enough get up and go...and that siftronic is neat.........We opted for the 4 cylinder for gas mileage savings and the overall cost of the car......

The one thing I wish we would have gotten is leather.......the very light grey cloth interior we have is gorgeous and comfortable, but with two little kids I have a feeling that I will have to buy stock in Scothcguard.... :)

So far, after a full day of ownership, I can say we love it so far. Very classy and sleek looking car.....we ended up getting a great deal on the Hyundai extended warranty......about $90 or so...so we have bumper to bumper coverage, rental and roadside assistance for 10 yr/10k miles. I think that is outstanding!

Maybe the *only* thing so far that I am not sure about is tha over some of the pittsburgh roads I drove, the ride is a little more sporty than I would like.....ie a little harsh.....but not objectionable so far......other than that it handles like its on rails.....those 4 wheel disk brakes stop it on 7 cents (as opposed to a dime!) Really great car so far.....

Thats great and many around here are opting for the 4 cylinder also since gas has gone up so much.Something you may consider, check the air pressure of your tires. It has been mentioned on other forums that the factory sets the tire pressure on the new Sonatas at its highest .Where it may say on the tire that the pressure range is 32 psi to 45 or 60 max,the factory has it at 45 or 60.If that is so,deflate to lower pressure and folks are saying it makes a signifigant difference in the ride.
Well heres hoping ours arrives soon and we get to enjoy our new car as you are yours. Good luck, have fun and remember....if you can't see the bright side of things, polish up the dull!....Jimmie

Jimmie, the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) mechanics should set it at the recommended tire pressure. If not, I'd complain.

We also got the four-cylinder for the overall price of the car. To buy a brand new car for $12,475 is downright rare these days, so we had to jump on it.
