i don't own a hyundai, i work on them. when an ecu is reprogrammed, it actually happens most of the time is the make compensation for the fuel map so if x amount of air is coming in the engine x amount of fuel is going to be delivered. otherwise you should still have your driveabilities as if you were driving the car before. also like i mention you might notice a top speed increase depending on how they claim the new ecu will make your car perform. what you should do is who ever you are buy/having reprogram your ecu, have them specify what gains you will be getting with the upgrade. then you can also make the decision on whether you want to make that step.
