I read on here about a problem called Piston Slap, due to a rebuild of the engine where it has been bored out an additional 0.010" and the piston can 'slap' around in the bore.

It is indicated by a rattling or 'marbles' sound when the engine reduces cycling/idling after giving it gas and you remove throttle.

Can this be fixed? Is it that large a problem. (Help me Dr. Hundi - I think you responded to this prob last time.)

I think you misunderstood.

The engine needs to be taken out 0.010 with the 0.010 oversize pistons to overcome the piston slap problem.

The piston to bore clearance was set incorrectly from the factory, which is why it develops this problem.
