Any info on how to remove the stock radio in the '07 gs? Not sure if to trust my bro w/ my 6 mo. old car.. but i want a couple of subs and he's good w/ wiring cars

Hi Schwol....If you replace the stock radio, replace it with a HD radio (digital), if you have HD radio stations in your area. HD radio will give the clearest, most detailed, best sound separation you will ever hear from radio. Only the background hiss may not be up to CD standards, but it is still far superior than analog radio. I was listening to a recording of a live concert. During the quiet adagio for solo instument passage from a symphony, & listening closely to the instument, someone sneezed in the audience. The sound was so clear, the sneeze got snot all over me! That's clear radio...& is the only disadvantage to HD radio.

use a hook tool and pull on the bezel that surround the radio it should come out.

Further recommendations for non-subscription HD radio:

Continued listening to HD radio is showing the extreme improvements recording engineers have used over the last 15 years to unravel the intricacies that are buried in complex music.

I researched & bought LOTS & LOTS of CDs in the mid 80's & early 90's, fine recordings for early CDs, indeed. As the years past, I often listened to those delicious quality CDs & less to analog radio that seemed....less than fulfilling, tho my analog classical radio station was very good.

But now I have purchased a lower priced HD radio & been introduced to non-subscription HD radio...& the wraps have been taken off the sound of radio station broadcasts. & such sound it is! Recent recordings that I haven't been purchasing are displayed on HD radio wonderfully better than analog radio. These new recordings, even over the airwaves on digital HD radio, are finer than my recorded digital recordings from those years past. Now, everytime I hear a wonderful new recording from the radio station, it is as if I am suspended over the orchestra hearing details I hadn't heard....ever....on any medium of the past...whether it be analog radio, analog tape, vinyl records, & even my fine past decades digital recordings. HD radio is displaying ALMOST fully the body of range of the lastest digital recording mediums.

If you are deeply involved & familiar with the new (& maybe not so new) excellent digital recording mediums, you don't have to turn your nose up at radio now if you have one of the new HD radios.

Once you remove the beezel and disconnect the 4 plugs, there will be 4 phillips screws holding the radio in, undo those and pull the radio out, from there you will see a 24 pin connector. Instead of wiring to the amp out I wired to the power line, because I couldn't get any power out of the amp line, looking straight at it (plug facing you, wires out the back):

KEY:
(GR)- ground
(BT+)- battery +
(EA)- electric antenna (if you have one)
(PW)- power (this is what my amp is hooked up to)
(B)- blank space
(AO)-amp out
(IL)- radio illumination
(LR)- left rear
(RR)- right rear
(RF)- right front
(LF)- left front

{{this is based off of the connectior I have that labels the wires. please note that (EA) (PW) and (AO) were in slightly different places in my car but close to the same}}

I went out and got a female connector that connects with the male plug and tells you what each of the lines do, it costs about $12, and your local audio place should have one.
I have a single speaker Bazooka tube and I wired it to both of the rear speakers. It's only 8 inches and 200 watts, but because the car is a hatchback it hits beautifully. Let me know if you have any questions.
