How to remove window winder handle form 99 Accent???

Hi
 
Anyone know how to get the handle off the window winder of a 99 Accent? Usually there is a circlip behind the handle that you can pop off but I can't get the panel to push away from the handle to see behind? I have tried everything and can't work it out??
 
Anyone got any ideas?!?!

I'm not 100% sure, but on my old Escort there was a hairpin-clip that held the handle on.  If you took a rag and wrapped around the base of the handle (wedged into the gap between the handle and door panel), it catches one end othe clip and pops it out.  If you do that, be careful because that clip will fly out of there.  Once it's out, the handle pulls straight inward.  To put it back on, put the clip back into the handle and push the handle on.  It will snap into place.
