I read somewhere that Hyundai will drop the 5 speed manual trans on 2009 Sonatas. Is this true? I juat bought an 08 Sonata with the 5 speed and I LOVE it!!! I was hoping they would come up with a 6 speed manual for the 4 and V6.

It doesn't show anything about tranny changes, but the URL is a pretty slick commercial (in Korean?) that shows the exterior/interior upgrades for the 09 Sonata:
Makes me wish I had waited the extra 2 months since I purchased my 08.

Nice commercial but looks like just a facelift to me. Looks like they updated the 4 cylinder engine though. So they are going to introduce the new car in the Spring as a 09 model? I guess this is why they had the zero percent financing last month. I got a great deal on my 08 and I had to get a new car as my 04 Elantra was totaled just before Christmas. I am happy with my 08 GLS 5 speed.

The new interior looks quite a bit nicer to me.
I'd like to see them offer a manual with the V6 again, but have few illusions that that will be happening.
