   I Have Hyundai Elantra 1997. I have some trouble with my RPM. My RPM drop when I not use Air conditioner. If I use the Air Conditioner, normally RPM must be UP, but not.., Please help me maybe anybody have a same problem in their elantra's.

you're say when you use the a/c the rpm drops? if that's the case the idle air motor might be going bad.

I am coming from the Volvo/Saab universe (my roommate has the Elantra), but what happens if you disconnect the idle control valve while the engine is idling? Or, if you close one of the hoses that goes to the valve.
