I dont know what stereo my car originally had, and the previos owner cut the harness when they installed an aftermarket stereo that they removed before I bought the car. I have figured out some of the wires using a multi meter to check for voltage then a 9 volt battery to find which wires were which speaker. I still have some wires I dont know what they do though and I have not found a switched power source, does anyone know the wiring colour code for the stereo? also is there speakers in the a-pillars? there is what looks like speaker grills in the lower part of the a-pillars.

Crazyguy - There was a thread where radio connections for a 04 Sonata were discussed: http://www.hyundaiforum.com/m_12472/tm.htm I did find audio information on the service site for the 04 but not for your 00. In 04, Hyundai offered three radio options in the US, Canada may be different. You can read the thread. I have not found color codes for the radio harness for any Sonata of this vintage. Maybe Doohickie or one of the Hyundai technicians that frequent the forum can provide this information. If no amp is present in your car, I suspect you may have all the connections already mapped out with your multimeter. The A-Pillar locations were likely for tweeters like they are in my 08 Sonata. They may not have been used if one of the lower end stock radios was originally installed. Ken
