I am pretty stupid when i comes to cars but i have an 01 tiburon with 50k miles.  I have not had any problems with it and then i moved from omaha, ne to california and now it seems like it acts up only when it rains.  When i am accelerating from low rpms is seems like its not getting a constant gas flow is like sputters until i get to higher rpms.  It started doing it when its idling too.  the check engine light is on but haven't done anything yet.  Just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions?

Ummmmm... get your CEL checked?  AutoZone does it for free in my area.

i would try changing your spark plugs or wires or both. i have an 01 and it started doing something similar, and when it rained, it got worse. changed them and now it runs great. i would still go to autozone though, just to be sure

i have a 99 and it does the same problem i have changed the Maf that fixed the problem for about a week not its doing it again i have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, throttle body sensor, new sparks, new wires but still does the same looses power even though your foot is on the gas. My mechanic final solution said it might be the computer. try this i works for me disconnect the negative wire from the batter for a whole day and then run the car see if it runs fine. try this at least two or three times if it runs fine every time you disonnect the battery and then meeses up agian a couple of days later it might be the computer. becuase everythime you disconnect your reseting the computer and it will run fine again until i guess it gets the error again and then will start to sputer again
