Have a 2003 Accent 1.5L, 5spd, dealer says the clutch is on the way out. $900 to replace the clutch, pressure plate, bearing and have the flywheel machined, ouch. 87,000km

Its a bit difficult to get into any gear, double clutching and I can shift into gears easy.
Last year the dealer said the clutch needed adjustment during a routine service. Now they say that there is no adjustment left, I don't see any place to make an adjustment. Is there an adjustment or not? hmmmm

I cannot find an aftermarket clutch kit for this year and engine combo, they all show the engine as a 1.6L for a 2003. Could this be an early 2003 model or something ?, do I order a clutch kit for 1.5L, 2002?

Hydraulic fluid is full, but could this be a master or slave issue??

Can the clutch be replaced without dropping the motor/trans out the bottom, or is there enough room to separate them in the engine bay?

Any ideas????

Thanks.

Check on the Slave cylinder by removing the boot, Replace the Slave cylinder if it's wet inside the boot.
