Yes, the belt should be replaced every 60K.

Are the 4bangers the only engine that needs the timing belt done at 60k?Or do all Hyundai engines?I hope not.Did they change the type of belt used from the 1.5 to the 1.6, or is it the same.Somebody should come up with a v-6 convertion for the 2001 Accent!!

60K is the replacement inteval on all Hyundai engines, 4 cylinders or V6, that have a timing belt.  I think the only engine they make that uses a timing chain is the Lambda engine, the 3.3 liter in the Sonata & Azera and the 3.8 liter used in the some Azeras and the Veracruz SUV.  The old 2.7 and 3.5 liter V6's found in older Sonatas, GX350s and some minivans did use timing belts.  The use of timing belts has become pretty common with all auto manufacturers.

Yep, all belts need replacing after 60K miles.  THat goes for the 4-cyl and the Delta V6.  However, the 3.3L and 3.8L Lambda has a chain and does not need replacement.

I hate the droop in the rear quarter windows but otherwise love the Genesis Coupe.  From what I've heard, the V6 will be a 300-hp version of the 3.8L Lambda which has a chain, not a belt.  The turbo 4-cyl is rumored to be the "world engine" used in the SRT-4 and the Evolution.  That also has a chain.
