Hi everyone,
Just joined your forum - and have a question for anyone with a 97 Tibbie FX. I've had mine since new ( have 245000 KM on it now ), and very few problems with it ! One thing that has always bugged me tho - the driving lights must be purely for show. Don't know if anyone else has found that - but in the dark they pretty much light up about 20-30 ft. in front of the car and that's it.
Does anyone know if there's a replacement housing and lense that actually throws decent light?  I figure with a 50 watt halogen bulb they should preform a lot better than they do..... mine at least.
Tnks

THE BEST ROUTE TO GO WOULD PROBABLY BE AN HID KIT.

HERES A LINK TO ONE - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-02-TIBURON-99-06-SONATA-8K-9006-HID-CONVERSION-KIT_W0QQitemZ300206106144QQihZ020QQcategoryZ36476QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Thanks Mike - looks interesting.........
I don't know if I missed it in the description, but can these be obtaines for the daytime running lights or are they just for a headlight conversion.
I don't have any problem with the headlight performance, but I just thought the running lights should be functional as opposed to decorative. Maybe I'm out to lunch - are running lights supposed to penetrate down the road or just light up in front of the car ?

the DRL's should still work as they normally would but i can't be sure, that would be something to ask the seller of the HID kit. my freind bought a set and he absolutly loves them. as for the function of DRL's, they are basically just so other cars can see you, they penatrate down the road a bit, but that isnt' their main function. hope this helps

Ya - well, I'm thinking I'll order a set of those from Ebay - and as far as the driving lights go - I'll just have to keep my eyes open for some kind of conversion kit that replaces them with spot lights or something.
Thanks for your input.......!

best thing like every one says is the hids but for best performance on the hid you might wanna take you housing apart and open up the projectors there is a small piece that kinda blocks out a lot of the light coming out of the lens its a kinda thin metel material break it off and put the whole thing back together dont forget to clean the lens and housing while its open and youll get great lighting. at the bottom is a great link for the HID on ebay and its only $75 for the whole kit these are the ones i got and they work awsome.
