hey guys, I have been trying to get my ac system working again and I took it in today to get it checked, the mechanic said it was the evaporator leaking. can anyone tell me what is needed to access this? do I need to remove the whole dash or something? does anyone have pictures? or is there an online reference manual or site? thanks for any help. its a 2001 hyundai accent, 1.5l 5-speed

It's under the dash:

2001 > G 1.5 SOHC > Heating,Ventilation, Air Condioning

COMPONENTS:




REMOVAL

1. Discharge the refrigerant.

2. Remove the air conditioner suction hose, liquid tube and grommet.



3. Remove the 2 control cables of heater side and one control cable of blower side.



4. Remove the center facia panel from the lower portion.



5. Disconnect the switch connectors and remove the center facia panel.

6. Loosen the mounting bolts on the main crash pad and remove the main crash pad. (Refer to "CRESH PAD" of BD group)

7. Remove the evoporator core temp sensor (thermistor) connector.





8. Disconnect the blower resistor and blower motor connector.



9. Remove the evaporator assembly.



Installation is the reverse of removal.
