bernd -> Elantra Timing Belt Removal Question (4/19/2008 3:47:52 PM)
|
Howdy.. new user, and new to Hyundai. I am fixing up a 1997 Elantra and am replacing the timing belt. However, the Haynes manual said nothing about the right side motor mount being in the way! My question is, to slip the old belt off and the new one on, what is the best way to go about this? I already have the bolt and two nuts off of the top of the mount, and the engine secured under a jack with some wood. Do I need to remove the portion of the mount where its bolted to the engine? Please help! and Thanks! bernd
