 Hi all,

I have a friend going to look at a 2002 Accent on Sunday and I would like to know what you all think?

He is going to look at a 2002 Accent 2 door 1.5 Ltr 5 speed 145k miles with A/C, Brand new tires in Feb and it is the original owner.

The guy is asking $1875.00 for the car and wondering if you all think is it worth $1875.00?

thx.

If everything works and it's in good shape I don't think the price is high.  I purchased a used 2003 Accent (with alot fewer miles) for my mother in law and she loves it.  My only concern for your friend is the mileage.  If the car was well maintained it shouldn't be a problem.  They high mileage on a 2002 car makes it seem it was a lot of highway miles which are easier on the vehicle than alot of city miles.

I'd say buy. I have a 2000 Accent with 89,000 miles and it's running great. I am the only owner also. Accents  appear to have been a well put together ride for the most part. I have had minor things to take care of but nothing major. Tell your friend to check the CV Boots for wear, I had mine changed under warrantee. Cv's can be exspensive, but if the car is that inexspensive it might not be too bad.

Thanks for the input and I am pretty sure he is going to get it.

He is pretty much a GM only person but getting 12 mpg in his big truck and gas the way it is you know.

Hope he gets it.

I'm a Chevy/GM guy as well and I love my Hyundais.  Wishing him good luck with it.  My mother-in-law loves her 2003 Accent and the fuel economy it gets.
