Hello recently my check engine light came on
had it check and gave two codes -P1624 mil on request and P0734 gear 4 ratio inncorrect
any know how serious these are and how they can be repaired?

Hello recently my check engine light cam on (2001 auto tiburon)
I have been noticing some over reveing when the gears shift . had the codes checked
came back wth two P1624 mil on request and P0734 gear 4 inncorredct ratio , any idea how
serious these are and what repairs need to be done ?

Attached is a page from the Hyundai service site (http://www.hmaservice.com/) explaining the P0734 error code.  When the Transmission Control Module detected this error, this triggered the P1624 code which tells the ECM to turn the check engine light (aka, MIL or malfunction indicator light) on.  You either have a failing pulse generator or a clutch pack going bad.  Both are internal problems.  The car likely needs to be seen by a transmission mechanic.
