I've owned myElantra for over a year now. This past winter, when temperatures at night got down to about 15 below zero, my hood split around the area of the driver-side windsheild washer fluid sprayer. It now sticks up approx 1/2 inch, and my mechanic tells me that it appears that the "high impact" fiberglass that they use as the top layer over the metal portion of the hood wasn't bonded correctly, and this allowed the cold weather to split the fiberglass. I've been looking for approx 2 mos for a replacement hood, but have not found one as of yet. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions?
