pickleweed -> salty; sitting; situation (5/16/2008 12:20:17 PM)

Hello,
I own a 2001 hyundai accent. It's been sitting(not running) for about 8 months in a salty environment (I love on the coast).
It's running but there is a metallic grinding noise coming from the tires (I think), not the engine.
Any ideas on what this is, and what I should check, inspect, or replace.
I think it might be the wheel bearings, or the rotor.
