Hey everyone. I'm quite confused. I am a new Tiburon owner. I used to own an Eclipse and was a huge Mitsubishi enthusiast, but now I'm really confused about the whole tiburon and tuscani deal. . . . it's the same car right? Is there a difference? I was shopping around on koreanautoimport.com and saw the Tuscani emblem I'd love to replace on my Tiburon, but is there any difference at all? HELP

Appears to be the same basic car (the Coupe) just named for different markets.  Common practice by most auto manufacturers.  Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Coupe for a discussion on Wikipedia.  Swapping badges on cars of the same vintage is not very risky.  I wouldn't purchase any power train or suspension modifications designed for a Tuscani, but would stick strictly to Tiburon parts unless you had researched that the parts were the same or compatable for both.  U.S. safety requirements and pollution controls usually make cars designed for the U.S. market fairly unique.

Yes, "Tuscani" is nothing more than a different name used in different markets.  Tuscani is similar to the "GT" model in other markets.

So would it be weird to put a Tuscani emblem on the back but keep the Hyundai emblems on the front and the steering wheel and keep the Tiburon floor mats in and all? Should I pick one and stick with one or can I use both

I think it's all a matter of personal choice. Weird?  No more so than a lot of other crap that people hang on their cars to personalize them.  Go for it.

Lots of people do it.  Don't think twice about switching.  The "T" emblems look much better.  I did it.

Okay I'm catching on now. I like the whole idea of the Tuscani. I think it's cool and I do believe I want to switch. Since you converted, do you have any helpful sites I can look at to buy some emblems and maybe other things for the tiburon?

You can get all the badging here:
http://www.kdmstuff.com/

This is where I got most of mine.  I'd suggest the hood and hatch "T" emblems that replace the Hyundai crooked (H).  I'd also suggest the "T" center caps for the wheels.

Great. Thanks a lot. I'll do that.

I also just ordered a body kit for my car. On www.koreanautoimports.com it's the 2007 Tomato conversion body kit.

There's a lot of Tibs around the area and I'm ready to stand out.

Thanks for you help.
