i have a 2001 hyundai accent gs hatchback.
starts fine...gets warm ..then stalls.

anyone else have any problems or does anyone have any solutions for me?

would appreciate the help.

I don't know anything about this stuff, but I have a hunch that it's a vacuum line, or sensor in that area that might need to be replaced (and they are cheap too). I had a different car that starts w/ an H, and it had the same problem, and it turned out to be a vacuum hose.

Pearjam is not wrong, but unfortunately there are many ways your Accent can have this problem. Question, does the check engine light stay on once the engine is started?

No the check engine light doesn't stay on.

A vacuum leak usually triggers the CEL fairly quickly, but sometimes it takes several cycles of a particular problem to do so. I personally suspect the crankshaft position sensor is failing because 1) it a fairly common issue discussed on this forum and 2) before the sensor completely fail, they tend show some level of temperature sensitivity. They work fine when cold and then act up as the engine warms up.

Regardless of the cause, to diagnose the problem you need to have a code scanner attached to the car's computer to determine what error codes have been generated and stored. Many auto parts stores (Autozone does for sure) will loan or rent scanners. Some will perform the service for you and interpret the codes to determine which parts need replacing.
