2006 Sonata LX Power Seat Issues

Hello. I am a new member to this forum. I am the proud owner of a 2006 Sonata. I have never had an issue with it until now. My recline part of my power seat will not go back anymore. It will go forward, but not backward. My seat is now pushed forward all the way and my chin is on my steering wheel. The front/back movement to the seat itself works fine, but the reclining part is not....What is the problem? Hoping it is a switch and not a motor...

Take it back to the dealer. It''s covered under the 5y/60K mile warranty.

I have 99 K on the car even though I have only had it since Feb of 2006. I drive the car for my work. Lots of miles, but all highway. However, my warranty is not in tact. That being said.....the power seats should not be worn out. Heck, I have never really used the recline mechanism. I just don''t know what kind of expense I''m looking at. Just hope it isn''t too steep.

Holy crap that''s a lot of driving. Based on the description, it''s probably just the switch since it works in one direction.
