Just a quick hello! Just purchased a 2009 Sonata GLS, and so far am impressed with how far Hyundai has come in 20 years.

I generally do all my own maintenance, but with the warranty Hyundai has placed on their vehicles, I''m sure I''ll be able to enjoy a number of additional free Saturdays!!

Just make sure you follow the maintenance recommendations. Assuming you have an automatic transmission, one key to make sure you ONLY use SP-III AT fluid (which is not generally available; you have to get it from Hyundai, Kia or Mitsubishi dealers). If someone tells you that some "universal" AT fluid is acceptable, don''t believe them. Right now, the only fluids approved by Hyundai are "HYUNDAI GENUINE ATF SP III, DIAMOND ATF SP III, SK ATF SP III". Hyundai and SK are Korean; Diamond is Mitsubishi''s version.
