Has anyone else experienced this problem? I have a 2008 Sonata, serviced only by dealership. Dealership can''t help me until next Tuesday.... I have tried everything including WD40.

This may sound too obvious, but have you made sure the shift lever is locked in Park (assuming the car has an automatic transmission).

Thanks for the suggestion, however the car is a manual trans and I have tried all gears...

Might be a malfunction in the wheel locking mechanism. Please let us know what it was.

This may also sound too obvious, but have you made sure the key is in the LOCk position?
