i have 06 sonata lx....
have question about seat belt beeping noise...

when the engine is on, even though car is in a park position, if i don't put a seat belt on, it makes loud beeping noise..
is this how they made or can this be fixed??

youd have to jump the connection that monitors whether or not the seatbelt is connected.

and how would i do that? is there a DIY, so seatbelt noise will only make when car is not on a park position?

the chime comes from the BCM (Body Control Module) i havent looked to see if it can be turned off or removed yet..its a pain in the ass to get to

damn..that sux... i guess one easy way to do it is get extra seatbelt thinging and just click it...hehe~~

i looked it up on webtech and you would actually have to clip one of the connector wires for the seat belt reminder to turn off, but i dont know if that would affect anything else...so i guess we are stuck with the seat belt chime....
