To Be honest the SR20DE will walk all over that Hyundai. The race with the Mitsu will be much closer.

Ok i m not sure i can take the GST neither because the GST smokes the sr20DE. Let me rephrase the cars

2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT(automatic0
1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST( turbo) (manual)
1999 Nissan Sentra SR20de (automatic)

all of these cars are stock i know the mitsu is pushing 210hp and 214lbs of torque and 185lbs@the wheels.
i also know that the GST can run 14s
so again will i beat the car stock or the sentra stock?

Ok, no matter which vehicle you race you will get toasted. I thought that you were talking about a Silvia with the SR20DE and they are turbo charged. My bad. Either way don't race them for slips

I have a 1991 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo which is a front wheel drive first-gen DSM. It came with 190hp stock and had a curb weight of around 2800lbs. The AWD turbo Talons and Eclipses had 195hp and around 300lbs heavier than the front wheel drive DSMs. The AWD is better off the line. But, the FWD had a higher top speed. I remember doing 142mph (with a 143mph speedo) on a deserted road with the stock engine. 0-60 for the FWD DSMs is anywhere from 6.6 sec to 7.0 sec with a 1/4 mile from 15.0-15.4 sec. The AWD versions have slightly better times. The Mitsu GST is a 3rd-gen, FWD DSM and has more power but is also a bit heavier. So, performance should be similar to the 1st-gen DSMs.

I wouldn't try racing a stock V6 Tibbie against either FWD or AWD turbocharged DSMs. Put a supercharger on that Tibbie and you got a good shot at smoking them.

As for the Sentra, I'm not sure.

Edit: The FWD DSMs (including mine) had some pretty nasty torque steer and had a habit of spinning the front tires. Maybe you can use that to your advantage.

My 2006 Sonata V6 seems every bit as quick as my '91 Laser (stock). That was verified when Car&Driver did a second test of the Sonata V6 and came out with a 0-60 time of 6.6 sec and a 1/4 mile of 15.3 sec. Those times are within the average for stock DSM turbos. *SIGH* If only the Sonata V6 had a manual tranny!

That's true. My 91 Laser Turbo was modded to HKS Stage 4. Supposedly. the hp was upped to 280hp. I haven't really verified that. But, it certainly felt much faster. Torque steer also got much worse, though.

ok, so I went to a dealership and tricked them into letting me drive an Eclipse GST they had on the lot. They are pretty damn quick, but I think you can take it.
