The 17" tires didn't seem to improve acceleration any. So, I stuck with the GLS V6 and 16" Michelins which seemed more comfy.

I wouldn't mind leather if the weather here didn't get too hot. But I live in Arizona where summer days can reach 120F. Leather seats can get very hot which is why I prefer cloth seats.

I'm more for the performance of the new Sonata which is quite good for a family sedan. The most recent test done by Car & Driver showed a 0-60 mph sprint of 6.6 sec and a 1/4 mile run of 15.3 sec. Those are pretty good numbers and matches the performance of my 1991 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo before I modded the latter.

i live in the mojave desert in california on a dry lakebed.......our leather seats are never hot because we use a windshield sunvisor and the side windows are tinted 20% and the back glass is limo tint......

My friend has a 4-cylinder 2006 Sonata with factory tints and it still gets hot, at least hot enough where we had to have a blanket on the seats until the compartment cooled off. I don't think we're allowed limo tint here. Otherwise, I'd see more of them here. Now THAT would help a lot. For now, cloth's fine. We've seen and test drove 5 different Sonatas including a fully-loaded LX. My wife preferred the more austere GLX V6 we have now. If we need it in leather, we can have it custom made. I'd like the black leather (or dark gray) with white stitches like the one on the Ford Fusion. I'm not a big fan of any wood trim either. It makes the car seem designed for the old, ala Towncar.

I have a Dark Cinnamon LX with the light biege interior.
The dealer I got the car from had the windows tinted before I picked
it up. It gets pretty hot here in Dixie in the summer, and so far no
problems with the heat. Now we are checking out the Bun Warmers.
In one of the photos you will see a towel on one of the seats,. My wife
does not want me to mess up the seat with my jeans.
