I have officially had my new 04 Santa fe for 40 days now and am loving it. I do hope that the 2.7L V6 loosens itself up in a hurry because my mileage is kinda sucking so far LOL. I drove conservatively and followed all the steps and this is what ive been getting with probably 90% city and 10% hwy. I always fill up with regular unleaded 87 octane.

1st fillup: 295M 16G 18.4 MPG
2nd 261.8M 16G 16.2 MPG
3rd 297.3M 16.5G 18.0 MPG
4th 256.1M 16.4G 15.6 MPG
First Oil/filter change
5th 264M 16.6G 15.8 MPG

Overall Average: 16.8 MPG
