i want to get my alt respun cuz i need more power due to my amp. the shop i went to couldnt tell by looking at it if the alt could even be redone (if its a single or double lead) and wanted to charge me $25 just to take it off and look at it, even if it couldnt be redone. my other option is to get the lester number for my alt so he can look it up. (his books dont list my tib)
so if anyone could tell me how to find this "lester" number it would be very nice.

03 gt tib by the way

thanks

i would just buy an alternator from somewhere else. then show it to your shop. then take it back to where you bought it.

Having an alt. respun is going to burn it out quicker, the voltage stabilizer and diode bridge will burn out along with your bearings. Usually it is best to buy a whole new one, I know it is expensive but is the best option. Try stinger. Be careful of some internet sites that say they build them I have been scammed by them before. Typically the increase on recoiling it is fairly minimal anyways.

That is a good point. A capacitor, though more expensive, gives you a better quality of sound, cleaner power, and is much easier to install. I would say that is your best bet.
