Hello, this is my first post. I own a 2002 Santa Fe. I was at the dealer yesterday having the "Serpentine Belt" changed for the second time. I was charged $175.00 for this. they said it was not covered by warranty, after 12 mos. Does anybody know if this is true? Also, I was told that if i didn't have my Transmission & Coolant fluids changed at the dealership, it would void my warranty. Does anyone know if this is true? I would really appreciate any info. Thx. Bob K

Serpentine belt requires changing every 60000 miles and would not normally come under warranty unless it required changing due to some fault at a lower mileage. With regard to fluids, unless all servicing is carried out by a dealership, warranty would be voided. Hope this helps a bit, but you may have different warranty specs as I am in UK.

I am not sure about the belt, but it is possible to change your own fluids but they have to be approved by Hyundai and if something happens to the tranny with your fluid they will not cover it.
