Hi iam thinking of getting a new 06 hyundia terracan here in the uk, the one thing that is stopping me is the reports of the diffs braking down,
does any one no if this problem is still the same in a new O6 terracan,
thanks.

ok the rear diffs on the terracans are suffering from wind up due to the plates being fitted too tightly .this causes the severe vibration when pulling away and lock up when turning on full lock. at the moment i believe hyundai are experimenting with different oils to compensate or fix the fault. why the just dont fix the fault at the factory i just dont know!(getting fed up of changing these diffs only for the same fault appearing 2000miles down the road)

Hi

Is Hyundai covering this part under it warranty as It can get very costy for a owner to have to replace the Diff every so often. I had to replace my own after 4 months of buying the 2005 model in Sint Maarten N.A. I am now awaiting the 2006 model which I was hoping will not have that problem.

Well just to upate you all that the Differential problem still exist I got the new 2006 model Terracan in May it hass less than 5000 KM and I just carried it to the dealers to fix the problem. they have to order the part and I found out that I'm not the only one complaining here as well. Also do any of you have problems with you brakes squeaking? Is it the material that the pads are made from or some other reason? Let me know.
