I think I posted this in the wrong place before...opps....

I've got a 1995 Accent here. The engine light is coming on and the engine seems to reve when I come to a stop? Does anyone know what this might be?

Can anyone give a suggestion as to what this problem may be before I take it in for testing?

it looks like a TPS (throttle position sensor) failure.

when you say the revs go up. how high and is it when the engine is hot or cold and have you noticed if the idle is erratic?

Nothing for nothing, could be a simple 02 sensor.
