I have a 97 Accent, automatic 12 valve with 120000 miles on it. I had a 96 with 190k still working when I bought this one. I change the coil pack and plugs and wires.
Please help.
Fred

Hey Fred, IF your engine check light is on, it could be your airflow meter, ask a mechanis to plug in the computer and do a diagnostic on it. Generally hyundai's airflows tend to go after 100 k.

Thanks for the information.
I dont know what a air flow meter is, or where on the vehicle it is located.
My check engine light is not on.
Thanks again.

I've seen some with the cat. converter broken inside and restrict exhaust and don't let the engine breathe. you could loosen the head pipe and then see how it runs.
