hi ther people.. i am interested in upgrading my alloys and was thinking of putting some 18" wheels on... my 1997 tiburon... 2 things mainly... 1.. would i need to do bodywork.. like roll the arches etc... 2.. would 18's slow my 4cyl down (lol) and would it make me consume more oil.. (i mean petrol) thanks

hey, I have 17's on mine, and it doesn't even come close to touching wheel wells. As long as your car isn't lowered, 18's would be fine. My husbands tib has 17's on it, and lowered pretty much 2", ( which is too low, lol) and it barely touches when you make a hard turn. Also depends on hight of tire, just get a lower profile tire, when you buy rims and tires at a after market place, they worry about all that, or atleast they did where I went. About the oil, and slowing it down, that wouldn't make a difference, didn't on mine. It might throw your spedomiter out abit, but not much. Later
