I have a 1995 Elantra. Is this odb1 or odb2. My check engine light is on. Also what connector should I use? Thanks in advance.

obd 2 is equipped on all cars sold in canada and the usa from 1996 and up. As for the connector I'm not familliar with the obd1 system.

I hope this helps

In the U.S. i thought the 96's were OBD 1. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Thanks for the quick response. I will try and find a odb1 reader. They seem very hard to come by these days.
