Hey, I just joined so this my first post. I've owned this car for 2 years and it's been my work car that I've put mad kms on and I may decide to put a bigger engine in this little car. I own a Nissan 240sx that I've done a motor swap on, and it was pretty staright forward with all the help I had. Now I've read that the Tibron engine is the regular engine to swap in the accent. How difficult is this and where can i find a good page do some homework on?? Havn't really found anything. Is it true you don't require a tibron ecu, and as far as mounting the engine is there welding required or mounting relocation needed to fit it, and how difficult is the wiring?? As you can see I know nothing about this so maby a good link would be very helpful... Cheers

The Tib swap isn't that difficult. It is true that the Accent tranny and ECU will work with the Tib engine. The wiring is as straightforward as it gets. I havn't found any online cheatsheets but have done it successfully. Transaxle is the biggest headache it must come from the Tib and be cut to fit. The side mount will need welded into place as well. Sorry for the short answers I have fifteen mins. left of my fifteen hr. shift right now. If you have any questions just post and I will answer when I am awake.
