I have a 95 Accent 1.5L
There is oil leaking on the right side of the engine. I have to put a quart in weakly.
The oile is not burning in the cylinders so its not the head gasket.
My pcv valve is operational.

What else could it be.

If the oil is pouring down the side of the engine block from near the top, it is probably a bad valve cover gasket or other seal near that area. If you just see the oil at the bottom, it is probably related to the oil pan. Either one or more of the seals are bad or the pan itself is leaking. If you live in an area with salt on the roads as I do, your pan has probably become peforated by rust. I just barely saved mine from that problem by repainting it before it rusted through. There are other possibilities as well. Oil leaks can be hard to trace.

Certainly sounds like the oil is leaking through the valve cover gasket.

As most of you know I am a 95er myself and just replaced my valve pan gasket. I replaced it and it leaks worse than before. I torqued the little bastard down and it still leaks. I don't know maybe our Accents are on their times of the month. But seriously it is your pan geasket as there are no other seals at the top of the 1.5 you can get a replacement at advanced in stock for 9 bucks. There are eight screws and two lines to disconnect, it takes ten mins. Do not overtighten or you will break the studs off in the head.

Well i Change the valve cover gasket, that didnt help. Plobly got workse. Cut down on the leaking somewhat by usins higer viscosity oil, which just makes my car brun mor gas i guess, and go slower.
I got jelose when i looked in my cousins maxima engine and it was dry as a bone.

The oils not leaking from the passenger side but on the drivers side where the tranny and engine meet , i have 5 speed, the mechanic that changed the clucht said he didnt notice any leaks.
