Probably a bit late for you needs but worth mentioning. Ive had my Getz 1.5 CRDi for a month and its totally blown every preconception i ever had about deisel cars. i get at least 600Km on 40Ltrs of Diesil. The power totally suprised me and everyone thats driven it. I live in an area in New Zealand with lots of windy forest ranges in all directions and i seem to have more power than most of the large 4wd vehicles i pass :-) If your wanting to save money, do a fair amount of traveling and dont need a lot of room, then id say this is the vehicle your looking for. As i travel alone a lot theres actually plenty of storage room in the back when you fold the back seats up against the back of the front seats. (about 3/4 the space of a station wagon). Last trip i put 4 large Computer Servers in packaging in the boot with room to spare. My next mission is to improve corner handling at high speed, as i like to go fast on the windy roads.. (not something most poeple would buy a car like this for). Ill post any findings i have if i ever getz around to fitting sports suspension and different tyres.
