litesong -> RE: Cost To Replace Timing Belt (7/18/2008 3:08:31 PM)

My mechanic who is good & v. reasonable, changed my timing belt & water pump on my Ford Festiva for $220. P.S....Posted somewhere else too, but after the timing belt change (& month old sparkplug wires), I drove from sea level over a 5500 foot mountain pass near Mt. Rainier & returned getting 51.8MPG with the Festiva. So change that timing belt if it is old. Not only will it save your engine, your good MPG should return too.
