kuyi84 -> spark plug wear.. (7/6/2006 3:16:08 AM)

I have a situation with my spark plugs: I've been using the NGK iridiums for the past few oil changes (7k-9k miles), and already the plugs seem to be getting carbon build-up... They have a brown coating on them, though the ground and center electrode seem to have no other signs of wear. My question is: should this be occuring already?? Would this affect gas mileage? -My gas mileage has been poorer than normal as well. Any info would be great.. Thanks

You need to install new valve guide seals to prevent seepage of oil into the combustion chambers and try changing your gasoline brand.
