OMG you guys, I just found out that when I press the rear defroster it heats up the window around where the wipers rest. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Smart. This will come in soooo handy for the ohio winters. I just cant believe it. I find more and more each passing day. Just wish the stereo would turn itslef down after I turn off ignition and then get back in my car.

Heated frickin glass, amazing. Now if I could get a sports suspension.

Right you are, doohickie.  It bothers me, and I want to move it.  However, the arm on my '07 Ultimate Limited does not want to be moved and I'm a bit reluctant to apply too much leverage.  Are there some special tools, tips or tricks that I need to apply in this case?  Thank you!

Loosen the bolt, hold the wiper blade up with your left hand and tighten with your right hand.  If this does not give you enough clearance, you can always remove the right arm and move it up one notch (cog) and tighten it back down.  The only problem doing it that way is the fact that the right wiper blade/arm will sit a bit higher on the windshield when in the parked position.  Everything will still work just fine, however.

I dont belive that the wiper blade position is a design flaw.  Most high end cars have blades in a lower position to hide them from view.  It's a more elegant design.

The right wiper arm was definitely not designed to avoid hitting the hood.  By definition, that is a "Design Flaw".

During my driving life time, I have owned many luxury vehicles and this is the first one that needed to be adjusted.  By the way, most automobiles, not just luxury ones, have parked wiper arms in as low of a position as possible.

I have owned my Azera since April and have not had any problems with the arm hitting the hood since making the minor adjustment.

Y'all seem to forget, back during the 70's and into the early 80's, most GM cars had completely hidden wipers.  It wasn't until the mid/late 80's that the exposed wipers became prevalent in domestic passenger cars.

Should you have difficulty as I did getting the arm to come
loose from the spindle, a little WD-40 works wonders.
