Anyone out there have these issues?

I have a 2002 Elantra GT with 45K miles (I bought it brand new).

Partial list of problems:

A/C whines every time compressor kicks in - especially on highway. It's been this way since new and dealer cannot find the problem. They haven't replaced anything either.

Windshield wiper motor only has one speed - slow.

Audio on radio/CD player intermittently cuts out - and comes back on if I turn on the headlights! Strange but true.

Alloy rims are terribly pitted and yellowed from brake dust.

Car seems to wander on the highway, feels kinda squirrelly.

Acceleration is nowhere near what it used to be.

Any ideas for these issues?

I've had nothing but problems with my Elantra as well. Under warranty and now not under warranty. And I'm suspicious of the quality of service by my dealership (maybe it's a clip joint). The car was okay but it did have numerous problems (some which you mentioned and others). When it was under warranty, I obviously didn't care. Now that it got over 60k, dealer seems to want to replace everything (i.e. trial and error method). I bring it back up for the same problem and they want to do five other things. Very disappointed that I ever bought a Hyundai. I feel I'm stuck with it.

Ok on the a/c , either you have air in the system which will make it whine, or compressor is starting to fail.Wiper system will take diagnosis.Radio will take diagnosis. I would assume the rims are wear and tear due to mileage but cant tell you anything definetly without looking at them. Wandering on hwy can be and alignment issue,a tire issue. That would take diagnostics.Acceleration , well I would have to connect a scan tool read the fuel trims and then check the vehicle for any services overdue like plugs, fuel injection service. That kind of stuff but I would not sell a service without testing current data in pcm to make sure it running efficiantly as possible.
