I'm trying to take out my stock Panasonic Cassette Head Unit from my 88 Excel. I have an Alpine CD player I want to put in it but when I get the stock unit loose and start to pull it out of the dash, there's resistance. It won't pull any further but there is a noise like it's still hooked up to the antenna wire(?) coming from behind the dash on the passenger side. It does sound like the wires are still hooked up when you pull on the unit. Is there anyway to get this unplugged so I can put my CD player in? I don't really want to take the dash off.
